Commercial Litigation Mediator Harold Oehler Selected as a Super Lawyer for Mediation

Harold Oehler, of Oehler Mediation, has been selected as a Florida Super Lawyer for Mediation. Harold handles commercial litigation, employment law, construction law, personal injury and business litigation mediations across Tampa Bay, Florida and the United States. Harold wrote the Florida Mediation Best Practices Handbook, Florida’s first mediation best practices guide for trial lawyers and mediators. He worked with a film maker for over a year to create the “Voice of the Mediation Client” documentary. This film gives clients a voice in improving mediation. Harold is a member of the prestigious National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He is one of approximately 150 mediators nationwide to be inducted into the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.
Harold has sat in every seat in the mediation room. As a trial lawyer, Harold tried many employment law, personal injury and commercial disputes to verdict. Harold won a 17 week jury trial, which was the longest personal injury jury trial in Pinellas County history at the time. Harold utilizes his extensive experience as a trial lawyer in the personal injury, employment law and commercial mediations he handles throughout Tampa Bay and the State of Florida.
As General Counsel of a national, public company, Harold served as the client and decision maker in mediation across the United States. This experience allows Harold to effectively communicate with executives and clients on both sides of a business or commercial litigation mediation. Harold keenly understands the unique perspective of clients and decision makers from years spent participating in mediation in their seat. Harold represented his Tampa based company in virtually every mediation across the country during his tenure. Harold was selected “Corporate Counsel of the Year” for central Florida by the Tampa Bay Business Journal during the first year this honor was awarded.
As a mediator, Harold served as Chair of the Mediation Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA) from 2020 to 2022. Harold received the HCBA’s “Red McEwen Award” given to the member of the Bar whose service and contribution will have an everlasting, positive impact on the legal community. In 2022, Harold received the Florida Bar ADR Section’s “MVP Award” for most outstanding contribution toward improving mediation in the State of Florida.
